Awesome SNES Racer!
Besides F-Zero, this is the next best racer on the Super Nintendo. Maybe even better than F-Zero as it goes a step further. You can upgrade your car as you win races. It's more diverse in scenery and offers weather effects. It's also a step up from the first Top Gear as you get a full screen view while racing. The first game in this series has a split screen, even for single player. I didn't care much for that. The third game in this series is more futuristic while not looking too futuristic. It just didn't seem like the developers knew what to do with this game or where to take it. If you're going to make a futuristic game, you might as well go all out. Again, just wasn't what I was looking for in this series. I find that Top Gear 2 is the best in this trilogy. An arcade racer with good graphics, sound, and gameplay.
