Simply amazing!
When I first got it these headphones, I was at worked and tried them out with my phone... the sound was clean and accurate but I was disappointed... I didn't get the wow affect that I was hoping for... Later when I got home, I tried them out with my computer (having a high quality creative sound card with amplifier).... I shed some tears.... it was beautiful! My points are two: 1. These are some great headphones 2. The best headphones won't sound as good with crappy input - keep that in mind

General: Nice headphones, comfortable, nice padding, I cannot tell the difference between the X2 and the X2HR. May be I am not good enough. If you have X2, no need to update. There is no upgrade. Pos: Good sound stage. Nice sound quality for the money which cannot complain. Cons: Philips should not fold the cable. Curl the cable will be a better way to do it. Did not mention the recommended direction of the cable. Did not come with storage box or bag. Remarks.... the above cons are minor.... they will improve the produce.. would no stop me to buy the nice set.

Philips Fidelio X2HR bargain!
I’ve had a lot of headphones over the years including some that cost north of $1000.00 and these X2HR cans are right up there with the best. Now don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of headphones out there that are better but for $220.00 delivered you simply can’t beat them. A word of caution. They are open backed headphones so they are ideal for listening to music at home in a quiet environment but don’t buy them if you are looking for isolation from your environment. Highly recommended.
