perfect for backup or a ps3
this has a good med-large capacity it is very quite and I have experience with this model of Hitachi and it is very good for performance and reliability, this drive is perfect for using in an external drive enclosure with usb 3.0 for backing up your PC or PS3 or for using as a drive replacement for a PS3 and being 7200 RPM you would see a little performance boost on your PlayStation, it is very quite basically just a great drive. I have been working with PC and electronics for 30+ yrs

great HDD!
this is my second purchase of this model hdd. having replaced an old asus k40 500mb 5400rpm drive and now a newer Toshiba l855 that came with a 650mb 5400rpm drive. I use these laptops for home studio recording. and have nothing bad to say. bigger and faster read/write is what I needed. is it louder? rarely when I record. I don't hear the Hdd I hear the cooling fan more than anything due to high processor work on audio editing or recording. Great HDD!

Great way to add 1TB hard disk to my little ITX desktop
