WiFi RangeExtender or AccessPoint with dual antennas. Also provides an RJ45 network port, when you'd rather connect you need a wired connection. Setup is fairly simple. Once setup; it will allow additional preference/option changes. Highly recommend using it with "Hidden SSID" option for additional security. Other manufacturers (e.g. TP-Link, etc.) offer cheaper units but this unit has built-in configuration flexibility for future growth. Mu-MIMO got chops, speed and plenty of RF power.

    Does Not Work as Advertised

The Netgear AC1200 does not live up to its advertising. It is poorly designed and very difficult to configure so that you can get an optimal signal expansion. Even if you get lucky and find a spot in your home to place this repeater, the useful range is very limited. I feel I made a mistake and wasted my money on the Netgear AC1200. I'm at the point now where I'm about to just throw it in the trash and find another brand that hopefully will live up to the expectations it sets in their advertising. I would avoid this product. Very disappointed.

  • Netgear Range Extender

Our Netgear router is stationed in the basement against the east wall where service enters the house. While the router is fairly decent, we were still having some difficulty with slowness in many of the upstairs areas. This Extender has given us full bars throughout the house and even outside to a certain extent. So far I haven't found a single thing to say negatively about the unit; on the positive side, all four of our users are happy campers with the added speed and quality of signal.

  • Great booster for your internet trcrption

My cousin recommended me to buy this device, and it works great. The Netgear brand is probably the best brand to choose from. It has great manual to help with installation. I could not engage it wirelessly, but the second option to connect directly to PC by Ethernet cable was successful. After this 20 minutes installation procedure I inserted it in wall outlet at approximately half-way between my router and my PC (in another room), and I immediately received very strong internet connection. This device is great, and it is strongly recommended.

  • Netgear Ex6100 WiFi Extender

Will not connect in secure mode with the WPS button. I had to reset it with the pin hole on the side. It has to be on and then connect to it with phone or computer. Type mywifiext.net in the address bar of a browser. It will then go to the new extender setup. From there answer the questions to set it up for secure mode. Only has half the distance of my old Netgear WN3000RPv3.

  • Greatly Improved Signal in large old house with mesh and plaster walls.

My house is very large, 110 years old and the wire mesh and plaster walls always made it difficult to get a strong wireless signal throughout the house. I've invested in one of the best routers but still could net get a strong enough signal in the living room to watch a streaming movie on the TV. I've also tried another brand booster (the same as my router) and it was so complicated to set up and still didn't work well. Never owned a Netgear product but took a chance based on other reviews. The set up was soooo easy. Plug in near your wireless router, wait a couple minutes until the lights turn green, push one button on the Netgear and one on your router, wait another minute until lights turn green, and you are DONE. Unplug, move it to another location, plug in and you are set. Just sign into the new network (same security password). I might add I am an older user, so the ease of set-up was huge for me. Pros: Easy set up Easy to log onto network Works Cons: The color- WHITE. All my walls are dark and really stands out especially with the antennas.

  • A great alternative to wired connectivity!

Compared to wireless (which my WiFi adapter on my pc is mediocre at best) could only handle 20 mbps (~30 mbps at best). With this extender, I'm able to use my built in gigabit port on my pc. The result came to be 80 - 90 mbps. More than enough for streaming movies or gaming. Highly recommend if a wire connection is not an option.

  • Excellent quality but not worth it!

Excellent quality..rugged and good looking too. Replaced a less expensive device but did not live up to advertising claims in my installation. I was hoping to extend the range of my wifi signal from a second floor router into my outdoor patio located at ground level. It did no better than the device it replaced that was half the cost. Oh well, it was worth a try!

  • Curtis

I watched a YouTube video to set it up. I tried and tried to set it up using the instructions. Even called support and they messed around on my computer the tell me I didn't have a firewall and wanted $99 a year. Watch YouTube they made it easy as pie.

  • These extenders aren't worth the money!!! Was on the phone with tech support for 4 hours and nothing works!!!!

Got with tech support from Netgear, tech got on my computer remotely and still couldn't get it to work. I went and purchased the EX6200 series and still had the same results!!! My router could connect, just no data was transferred. Returned it to Best Buy.
