Capable and fast!
I am very happy with my Singer Heavy Duty sewing machine and the bargain price for which I was able to purchase it. I do a lot of sewing (everyday) and sew both fabric and leather. I needed a heavier duty sewing machine for the amount of sewing I do as well as the added thickness of some of my work. This machine threads easily, top thread and bobbin thread, is easy to operate, glides over bulkier layers of fabric and/or leather and the machine maintenance is straightforward. If you do a lot of sewing on heavy fabrics regularly, grab this!
Sturdy outer casing, works well out of the box and doesn't wiggle on my sewing table. Easy to use dials, has clear and concise manual - all in English. Everything that I've thrown at it from lycra, cotton to faux fur and pleather it has handled it well. I love how high up I can raise the foot and at a glance I can see how much thread is left on the bobbin.
