Nice size, good thermal sensitivity and resolution, useful picture overlay, good battery life.
Needed a thermal camera for inspecting the house and it's great for the job. Able to spot insulation issues around doors, in walls and ceilings easily. Good mix of features and functionality for the price. Slightly more bulky than a phone. UI is a little clunky but useable. Good thermal resolution and the picture overlay is nice. 4hr battery and 5000 pic memory easily cover my needs. Display is bright and touchscreen is responsive. Reasonable value if under $500
Depending on use needs, a positive of the FLIR C5, it’s compact, comes with a case for added protection when not in use, price below $500 is ok. If paying over $500, the value isn’t there due to its technology limits, display vs. image resolution, constant NUCing, lack of compatibility with some platforms such as Mac.
