Printer not checked thoroughly for defects before selling it.
Defective, heat fuser unit for image drum will not turn off, stays on all the time, fire hazard, generates a lot of heat, fans run nonstop. Normally, fuser power is shutoff within seconds after each print job. Waste a lot of electricity. Have to manually unplug printer after each print job to avoid a fire.

Solid but limited
I didn’t realize that this printer is so old that Brothers doesn’t make the support platform to allow it to work on newer Mac OS systems. Thus I am limited as to which of my computers this printer will be compatible with.
