Typical of Hoge's taking the jokes on himself and making everyone else dopy!
It's a good vehicle for Hoges. He ambles the the scenes like he has no worries, doesn't know where he is, doesn't care - and enjoys the trip. Don't try to figure it out or you'll miss his character's point - himself.
