    Very entertaining remake of the movie, a little creepy in parts, sad ending

    Poor monkey! This is a visually stunning movie well produced and entertaining. It's a little intense for younger (sub 12 year old) kids, although I saw it in a movie theater where six and seven year olds were watching. I could just imagine the nightmares. One thing I really liked was the graphics and how realistic King Kong was. They did a wonderful job capturing the emotions of Kong, the facial expressions were almost human. The references to the original movie were a nice homage.

    Junk

    Movie kept freezing and skipping before and after I cleaned my DVD player. There was what looked like warm glue or something on the DVD when I removed it from the player after it froze for the last time. I didn't want to ruin my DVD player trying to play this junk. I threw the DVD away. It would have cost me more to send it back than what I paid for it in the first place.

    More than expected

    While I expected a King Kong story, I didn't anticipate the drama of the ship lost at sea, the voodoo-like natives or the Jurassic Park-like adventure on Kong's island. The movie definitely has an art-deco flavor to it with its wonderful depiction of early New York City. It's a 3 hour movie so make lots of popcorn!

    Best King Kong movie

    There are a few King Kong movies starting with the one I watched as a child that was made in the 1930s This movie made in 2005 was better. Both movies have a lot in common with the original story. What can I say, a lot of love went into making this movie. Great cast and wonderful special effects.

    An Ape Who Got Bit By The Love Bug!

    Another remake of the classic film, King Kong. I love this movie, and I believe this version is better than the one in the 70's. The character's are more engaging, plus there is more of a background story on each. You can't help, but cheer for Kong. An ape who falls in love with the blonde actress. Once they capture him, all the others think about is what this would do for them. Big bucks, fame, and the opportunity of a lifetime. I think this movie is great, yes there is CGI, but it is done well. I would recommend this film to anyone, a great movie for the whole family. As for the delivery, the package came fast and the movie played great.
