Fun when it works, not for the long haul.
We bought this Coleman SaluSpa summer 2019. It worked as advertised during this time. Then in October we took it downstairs into the basement, as the outside temps were dropping to 40 or below in the evenings.
It is slow to heat up. My main compliant is that when it reaches 104 degrees, unless it's 90 degrees outside, within a few minutes the Spa will drop to 102. But that is because it's plug and play,.i.e. 120 volt.
The 3 stars given is because, basically after 6 months of use, it has had issues with the heat pump impeller. I had replaced the OEM plastic impeller shaft (which was broken) with a stainless steel version, and it failed after just 3 weeks.
So I have on order an new impeller and am having a new stainless steel shaft made by a friend of mine.
Meanwhile, I have a tub of water in the basement and can't use it.
FWIW, we have good city water, and I remove and clean the filters every single time I get in the spa - which is every day.. So the failure is not because I have abused the spa in any way. Just a poorly designed impeller/impeller shaft system.
