Lifelong motorcyclist, racer, entrepreneur and bicycle industry business leader Bob Morales came up with the idea for the unbreakable motorcycle lever in 1995 when he broke his clutch lever while practicing for a motocross race. After selling his interest in Kore Bicycle Components in 1998, he started developing his pivoting lever idea and founded ASV Inventions. All ASV levers feature a special pivot design that allows the lever to fold out of the way in the event of a crash or fall. They simply pivot outwards and spring back. The pivot junction has a precision sealed bearing for zero play and precision feel. By simply turning the 180 increment micro index thumbwheel on the lever the reach can be adjusted through 4 inches to accommodate different sized hands. "Shorty" levers also availabl.
