Half right.
My unit has a headphone jack on the opposite end to the R/L output plugs, alongside the power connector. It works OK with normal television output audio to both the headphones and R/L output plugs. When I play a video the output from the R/L plugs causes a very loud screeching from the display panel speakers, whereas the headphones still have good audio which is not adjustable for volume control. Unable to control volume
If I am using this incorrectly, I would love to know. From what I have experienced, I can connect this easily to my Panasonic LED TV, or to my Apple TV, so that I can use with ordinary 3.5mm headphones. A neat little converter
I have a 5.1 surround system that I absolutely love and did not want to replace with a sound bar (which are crummy in my view!) I needed to have a converter that would attach to my smart tv and back to the analog signal from the surround system. This little converter has all the inputs required to do this! Gets the job done on the cheap
I use this to get sound from my PS4 to my monitor speakers that have a 3.5mm jack input. It simply works. Good volume output. Decent quality sound output. I do get a slight amount of noise/buzzing but it's not noticeable if you actually have sound playing.
