Best bang for the buck
This telescope is perfect for those getting into the hobby or upgrading from a manual mounted scope. The 5 inch aperture is plenty for solar system and some DSO viewing. The GoTo system is easy to align. And as an extra bonus it works great for terrestrial use. Dont spend the extra money on a 6 or 8 inch on a Alt Az mount. They are not great for astro-photography. Buy this slightly smaller 5SE and buy a larger Equitorial mount later on.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very nice automatic travel scope.
Promptly shipped and well packaged. Worked right out of the box. Software was already updated. First night out, the scope located 5 Messier objects after a 5 minute alignment.
