Not official Otterbox but a cheaper alternative.
I bought this thinking it was an official Otterbox and that's my fault. It is VERY similar and I think will do the job, but it's just not made as well. The 'silicone' portion is more like soft plastic. It is extremely difficult to get the case apart to put the ipad in. I can't imagine trying to get it back out. I will probably have to break it to do so. Speaking of, the clips on the plastic portion are so rigid, I broke one trying to get the case open and I was being extremely careful. The flaps that cover the charging port and the mute slider are very difficult to get open. They push into the case and are hard to get back out. They also don't protect as well as the official otterbox one does. I will continue to use this until it breaks, but I wish I had paid the extra for the real deal.
