About this product

Product Information

Acclaim's Quarterback Club series makes its debut on the PlayStation 2 with the release of NFL QB Club 2002. In addition to standard features such as Exhibition, Season, Playoffs, Practice, and Simulation modes, the game includes an exclusive Quarterback Challenge. Players compete in four different events using one of the Quarterback Club's eight members in an attempt to win a total of 125,000 dollars in virtual cash.

Each of the featured quarterbacks is individually rated in speed, agility, acceleration, accuracy, and arm strength. The first challenge, Speed and Mobility, involves racing through an obstacle course and throwing a pass at a target. The overall time, adjusted for each missed target or obstacle, must rank in the top two for a chance to win 20,000 dollars. The second event, Accuracy, involves throwing at targets along various spots on the field.

Long Distance Throw is a two-round event where a circular meter is used to determine both strength and accuracy. Points are earned for each throw over 50 yards that lands within the ten-yard target zone. Read and Recognition consists of multiple moving targets crisscrossing the field, with the object being to hit a specially marked target (indicating an open receiver) with each of the four pass attempts.

NFL QB Club 2002 includes teams and players with statistics and ratings based on the 2001 season. Kevin Harlan calls the play-by-play commentary from the booth, while color analyst Bill Maas joins in for game analysis. Trades, free agency, viewable depth charts, and the ability to create up to 22 players and save them to memory card are all featured in this eighth release in the series.

  • Retro football non Madden

Game is dated. But I like the series. This is the last release on PS2 and Game Cube. More issues with the game console than the disk. Purple Disk are risky. Happy. 2nd disk.ok.

  • Last QB Club Video Game

Looks better than most football games, easy menus to pick a play with a big screen to see the formation. Receivers actually catch most passes + runners can break tackles. The QB Challenge is the icing on this graphically impressive PS2 football game.

  • Nostalgia in a DVD case.

Well the graphics are good they're not on par with today's generation. And there are a few things that I would definitely change about the game. However unlike today's generation it is straightforward football no training BS. None of that garbage that Madden does today. You can even build your own team from the ground up.
