Thandor: The Invasion is a real-time strategy game with an emphasis on action rather than traditional resource gathering and the production of units. Multi-level diplomacy also plays a role, as you struggle to reunite the Alliance of Avares and recapture its former glory while defending against the invading forces. Many years ago, the bloodthirsty Golraths attacked every system in the nearby galaxy. In an attempt to thwart the warmongering invaders, nations of the home system banded together and formed the Alliance of Avares, known simply as Ares. With an effort of unification and sacrifice, the alliance defeated the aggressive Golraths after a long and bitter war and restored peace to the galaxy. In subsequent years, members of the alliance began bickering and fighting among themselves, overlooking the initial reason for coming together in the first place. The nations became complacent and corruption eventually infiltrated the alliance, causing its disruption and eventual dissolution. Fortunately, some factions of Ares were working secretly to reestablish the armies and now it's about to pay off -- the ruthless and determined Golraths are swarming again. Featuring a variety of 3D landscapes (lava, snow, ice, desert and grass) and over 60 animated units, Thandor: The Invasion offers a range of strategic challenges, including online play for up to eight players on a LAN or over the Internet.
