My meter worked. Solid construction, long cords and easy to use. No complaints.
When I first got it, I tried it on a very suspect battery I was currently having trouble with; the reason I got the meter. The meter said it was good (?) That had me confused. I thought right off the meter was a sham. BUT, I eventually went into the city (a drive in winter) and had the battery tested officially at a very reputable battery outlet with their fancy equipment. He did everything, including opening up this "sealed" battery and tested the solution. All tests came up positive. He said the battery was good; just needed a good charging. My meter was correct. That threw me. I asked what the problem was and he mentioned that sometimes batteries are not given a PROPER initial charge at the factory or are left sitting somewhere and are then shipped out with a "new" date sticker on it. Either way, he told me what to do to get the battery working, which I did. It now works, AND this meter was correct all along. He gave me a printout from his equipment and my meter was virtually spot on the same. Actually, I'm glad all this happened. It showed the meter was indeed good plus it revealed a slip up in battery buying I now know exists. I give the meter an easy 5 stars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not what I expected it to be.
The unit is not what I expected. It re-charges via USB plug-in rather than directly from 120v. So you have to have a 120 V adapter and cable handy to recharge. The clips that connect it to the battery must be removed from the unit when not in use. It will be a matter of time before the two pieces are not together when you need them. The flashlight and phone charging functions are not of value to me. All in all, I would not buy this unit if I had it to do over againVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice, Good Quality Battery Tester for a Really Decent Price.
This tester has been really helpful in testing not only the state of my batteries but the effectiveness of my various chargers in recovering older, weaker batteries. The clamps aren't cheaply made and the wires are sturdy. They are long enough to get the tests done although it would be nice if they were a few feet longer. It is a nice tester and seems to be really accurate. More accurate than I was expecting. When I first ordered this, I didn't think that I would need printing capabilities, which this unit doesn't have. Since I've been using it do much, I find myself writing the results down quite a bit.
