works well & easy to install
I have used it before on my El Camino doors. As long as you don't use too big a piece at once it works very well for installing. Good Quality
I have not tried others sound deadening mats. But This is easy to work with, really good sticky surface. Quality seems great. More Pricier than others. #1 I wanted great sound from my stereo in my truck, check- Sounds Awesome ! #2 Wanted less road noise and exterior noise, Check- didn't measure db levels but reduced considerably. #3 Better insulation value: this will need time to evaluate only installed 1 week now. Far superior to competition! Easy to apply, no stink, effective dampening!
After years of taking the cheap way out wit competing products I decided to try Xtreme based upon reviews. The difference is astonishing! Even with a very basic installation covering only my doors and floor. Firstly it is much thinner and more flexible (and thus easier to install) but once applied actually performs better. After the first success I applied it over the competitions product on my other car and it quieted the car so much more than the original did, normally a second layer is a waste of money but the competition had been so ineffective. Well worth the time and investment!
Dynamat gives you deeper bass and eliminates annoying rattles! A bit heavy but if you have subwoofers, well worth it. Lows are more clear and crisp :) wear gloves when installing though, edges are sharp once cut and they cut back lol. Worth the investment if you’re serious about your sound quality. Most cars are held together with clips and screws; take your time to install and enjoy!

Great sound deadening material for your acoustic needs. Only thing is that is at some point dynomat is half as thick as it used to be but still produced good results. Dynamat is pretty heavy
Wish I had installed this years ago when I built my street rod. Road and engine noise much better and A/C cools much better. I had to purchase two boxes to cover floor and trunk. Pros: Mids in the door sound better Stopped flexing in my roof. Made the bass increase in the car. Stopped vibrations. Cons: Painful to install and roll. I used acetone as the fast drying liquid to clean all the surfaces.
