    F@E Stand

Support not as good as a kick stand, once you line the crank up and set it in the holder any forward movement of the crank will knock it out of the holder. So if you don't want a kickstand this does work, I use it on my SE F@E.

    Wrong fit

I used the thin flash stand when I had FSA Gossamer crank on my Fuji road bike and it worked like a dream but when it was time for new cranks and I went with the Shimano Ultegra cranks and bb to complete the Ultegra drivetrain, it no longer fit and I ordered the fat flash stand. The crank is to high for it so to fit the bike leans to the other side and isn't stable. To compound, I just got the Jamis Aurora touring bike with FSA Aloha Drive cranks, and if I remove the hard plastic liner altogether I can get it to fit over the crank and prop the bike in a semi-stable way but I prefer not to risk spilling it and mashing up the derailleurs, so no; I wouldn't recommend this one. At least not if you have my bikes.

  • Cool idea

Cool idea. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for my custom build with a bmx crank. That’s on me, I should have measured to be sure. Feels mostly plastic. How long it holds up for folks who utilize it will be interesting to see. Another downside to this design is that you have to carry it with you to use it. Not a big item, so not a deal killer. Just something to keep in mind.

  • FLASHSTAND FAT IS THE BEST SUBSTITUTE FOR A KICKSTAND!!

I've always disliked having to lay my bike on the ground every time I want to get off and do something. There is never any handy place to lean the bike! My bike (SANTA CRUZ) has fat tubing with no place for a kickstand even if one would fit. I was so enchanted to see this TOPEAK stand. I had no idea such a thing existed and only came upon it by endless scrolling thru EBAY. It weighs about 13 ounces and I can easily carry it inside my Camelbak pack that I use for riding! I had to study it for awhile in order to understand how it fits over the pedal crank arm (I'm terrible at puzzles), but now it's a piece of cake to take on and off. As long as you make sure you are on level ground, it stands up just fine and doesn't feel unstable. I was able to get under my seat and adjust things while the stand held the bike up just fine. What a great product - I can definitely recommend it.
