The drive features high-performance SATA and has a speedy external data transfer rate of 300 MB/s. The RPM and cache allow you to use all your software effortlessly, including gaming programs that require extreme Gb/s. The 1TB storage has plenty of room for all your work and data. In addition, it’s quiet and operates in temperatures ranging from 0 to 60 Celsius. Western Digital also has you covered when it comes to the interface. The WD Caviar Black 1001FALS is built around SATA II, giving you data transfer rates of up to 3.0 Gb/s. This Western Digital device is an HDD that can automatically optimize the order in which it executes read and write commands. It is able to perform these tasks thanks to the Native Command Queuing (NCQ) extension. This device can also provide hot-pluggable point-to-point connections to increase the flexibility of its hardware. Whether you’re saving treasures like family pictures or backing up vital business data, you’ll have plenty of room with the 1TB capacity of the WD1001FALS hard drive. It has room for up to 40 Blu-ray movies.You can trust that everything you have saved is safe thanks to Western Digital’s exclusive Data Lifeguard. Coupled with Data Lifeguard Tools, the technology also helps you install these drives without worry. Data Lifeguard utilities keep diagnostics and drive repairs simple. The embedded features include automatic, real-time error detection and repair. Once a problem is detected, Data Lifeguard isolates and repairs it. Your data is further protected by WD ShockGuard technology. External bumps and vibrations are instantaneously stopped before any damage occurs.
