FAST! And a decent lead length!
With a 420mm+ lead, I can put the Drive on top of my PC Case, or on my desk. Yet the lead is NOT so long as to get in the way when I use it with my Laptop. Seems to have a relatively low power drain, as it doesn't effect my Battery life too much on the Laptop. Speed is very good if plugged directly to a USB Port, fastest on USB 3 of course. DOES slow down if plugged via a Hub, but then so does any other USB Device. 1.8+ Terabytes (Real PC Terabytes!) from 2,000,239,988,736 AVAILABLE Bytes - A really good buy.

slow usb3 drive
This is not a fast drive while it has ausb3 inter face it is slower than 1 of my old usb 2 drives. Also it has a very short lead fine for lap top but on my desk top pc its not long enough to reach a level surface to sit it on so it dangles on it lead it needs to be at least twice as long.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Product
The Toshiba Drive is no wider or longer but is a little thicker than many other brands by about 3mm but it is great to use. The plain black plastic casing may bother some but it is no issue to it's use and I am not buying it for it's looks but rather for it's function. It has great capacity for the price at only about $25 more than a 1 Terabyte drive. I have had no issues with it and it is worth every penny paid for it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent Hard Drive
I have found this Hard Drive to be perfect for what I need. I had a WD Elements before and it gave me so much trouble. This Toshiba Hard Drive has got a longer length cord which is good and the hard drive doesn't drop off the cord easily is you inadvertently pick it up by the cord. Toshiba Portable HDD
I bought three of these units and I have used one of them, given one away as a Christmas present and the third one I haven't used yet. I did a quick format of the drive ( you don't need to ) ran a disk check and then loaded on my movies, music, pictures and ebooks. I then ran a Smart defrag and have been using it without a problem for three weeks now. It is hooked up to a media hub and I watch it on my tv. Working well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
