Best experience with ota tuners
After having used a number of ota tuners such as leelbox,etc., I was so relieved to recently discover TiVo had developed the bolt ota tuner. After using it for a few months now, I will say it's definitely worth the extra cost. They Have Changed the TiVo Experience for the Worse.
TiVo has changed. It no longer has the 'THUMBS' feature which was used to record your preferences for shows and movies. The 'TiVo Suggestions' is still there but instead of picking shows to record that fit your likes and dislikes it now just records at random which makes the feature useless. If this is important to you avoid buying a new TiVo, you will not be happy. The user interface is no longer simple and easy to use due to the features they have added. I liked the older interface better. The machine does work as it is designed to so no complaints there. The TiVo experience is just not what it once was.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good Replacement for Roamio

Expensive DVR but OTA
it has a pixilation problem, after contacting customer support they felt it was a hard drive problem, but company purchased from disagrees. After researching the web I found the problem is probably in the tuners. Because the unit has an internal splitter and 4 tuners it can have a loss in signal strength. Great for DVR and OTA channels
Little hassle because I couldnt register the device easily because Tivo had not released it from previous owner but live customer service was excellent and all fixed on one call. For Hulu fans, be aware that the box still claims the device can show Hulu. It can’t. So dont buy if you want to get Hulu and yr TV only has one HDMI input. The OTA response is excellent and the DVR.
