    Accurate, Inexpensive and Generally Simple

I haven't had this watch long enough to know if it will hold up, and how long it will hold up. But, so far, so good. The Casio Wave Ceptor line of watches is precisely accurate, which is my highest priority. This particular model is also slimmer and more comfortable than other Wave Ceptors I've had. If I can get used to reading the digital time, I think I'll be very happy with my purchase (which was about a hundred bucks cheaper than the analog Wave Ceptor I really wanted). I haven't tried any of the functions besides keeping time. Functions like the alarm, stop watch, etc., as those are functions that my iPhone can do well. I've had several Casio watches in the past, and they've never been intuitive to me in switching from one function to another. So, since my iPhone performs all of those functions easier, I'm just going to be happy with using a watch as a watch. Huh, what a concept!

too old to read the tiny booklet

I need an instruction booklet that is big enough to read without a magnifing glass so I can set the watch with fewer than four hands. I still cannot set the day of the week.

  • Best if you need exact time

This is a great watch to obtain exact time. The watch allows you to do manual or automatic atomic time uploads so that you can assure you have the exact correct time all of the time. I would suggest turning off the automatic atomic time uploads because it will update every day, once a day. That can be rather draining for the battery. I would recommend doing it manually once in a while. It is easy to do and the watch can keep time very accurately after the occasional updates. I also like that you can set two separate times zones and reference each time zone with the push of a button. The only thing I really don't like is that the stop watch resets to zero after 60 minutes. If you are timing something for more than an hour, you will never know how much time has passed after the first hour.

  • Typical Casio quality

I used Casio watches for distance running for years. The functions on this watch are just like the old ones, so I didn't have to re-learn how to change modes, operate stopwatch, etc. PLUS, this watch is radio-controlled from the Atomic Clock which means it sets itself on the exact time and automatically changes for DST. The time on it agrees with my other Atomic Clocks and the cell phone time. Additionally, the watch is waterproof to a depth adequate enough for normal swimming -- anything short of Scuba diving or the like... These Casio watches have been rugged, durable, dependable and have run a long time on one battery, probably over 2 years... It's a really excellent watch for the money. If I had a friend who needed one, I'd buy it for him/her. In fact, I might buy another one just for myself (except at 70 yrs old, I'm not doing distance running)... I don't think you can go wrong with this watch if you want a highly accurate timepiece, a rugged, dependable watch and one which is pretty-much maintenance-free. Experience (years of it) with these watches tells me that the first thing to go (other than the battery) is the band. And the band on this one looks sturdy.. This is a GOOD buy for an excellent watch.

  • Wave ceptor watch

I have owned this type of watch for many years. The original went tango uniform in the circuitry so I got another one a few months ago. Now I'm not sure if it's "old timers" disease or a light fingered grandchild but the replacement is missing. I love the watch but once you get used to setting it up, place it on AUTO, the watch takes care of everything else. Accurate time for a modest price. It can be purchased with a metal band for those wanting a bit more class on their wrist.

  • Well done!

This watch is perfectly good and useful one. It is battery powered, that is actually good because it can easily, and often be dark in Wabamun, in or out of the house it is usually kept in. Its radio time sensor works well also, needing no manual change for daylight savings time, having time options, manually selectable. It is also stylish, living up to the promise of modern black-and-silver coloring. This sale was well done, and good afternoon.

  • Rebooting for longer battery life

I like the convenience of always having the correct time plus it is water proof. I only wish the band was more durable, but at least one can be purchased. One trick I found is to remove the band and the back cover to remove the battery, but usually it just needs to be lifted to disconnect it and cause the watch to reboot. Don't forget to poke a paper clip in the hole before reinstalling the cover. I've read some place that the battery is only good for 2 years, but by rebooting the battery works for many times longer.

  • Great price, great features

Has features I want at a very affordable price. Once tuned in to transmitter is worry free. Replacing one that lasted 10 to 15 yrs and still works but case is showing ware and tear. Keeps better time than Rolex (I guess perfect time)

  • Radio Watch

This is my second one, I wore my first one out, battery lasted several years. You never have to set the time. It corrects each night from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM. I use it for time keeping only, I have no need for a stop watch, it has this feature also. I will recommend it, I got my new one just before the battery went dead.

  • Nice Quartz Watch

Very functional watch. Day, month, year, time, hour, minutes, seconds, all on the top page! Only downer is that it can't be set by Atomic Clock. Don't know why not. I've tried EVERYTHING. So, I us it as a quart watch and it is very precise!
