Works usually, if you get the cable fully engaged
Plugging the USB cable into the reader takes an unusual amount of force: if not fully seated the reader will only work intermittently, if at all. Once I realized this, the reader was useful. It worked fine on my home computer with a regular SD card; the other (I bought 2) would not function properly on my work computer with a micro SD. Not sure why, may need to investigate further swap pieces to learn the cause. Don’t know if I will need the other card types, but this covers all I have ever heard of, and then some.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Did not work with the original sony memory stick shown in th epicture
The photograph shows an orignal sony memory stick. The outside black plastics are too narrow for the orignal sony memory stick. Once you deal with the constrictive plastics and insert the original sony memory stick the reader does not detect the card. We tested wtih several memory sticks and on 2 PCs and 3 different Mac computers. This device will not read the original sony memory stick shown in the picture.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This card reader is awful, don't waste your cash.
This unit is inferior, and does not work as described. The slots are too tight to insert some of the different cards, especially the M2 and the M2 Duo by Sony. I would not buy this again, nor recommend it to a friend or family member. The unit is not worth the $5.19 USA that I paid, and at even $1.99 this would still be a total fail. You get what you pay for.
This is a budget reader that will work well if it is handled carefully. It is easy to bend the pins if the user is not paying attention when inserting a CF card. Additionally, the usb cable needs to REALLY be pushed in hard to get connection. It's lightweight, but in a budget not high tech material way. 32 pin port failed on th 3rd try
The largest port on the card reader was for the older compact flash cards. I needed one as I bought an older Nikon D 100 digital camera. The first two times I put the data card in, it worked but the 3rd time, it bent one of the tiny 32 pins and then would no longer work.
