Works like a regular keyboard
It's a Dell Latitude keyboard. No additional wiring or external power needed. Just attached it to the magnetic strip on the bottom of the tablet. It works like a regular keyboard. No delays, no pause, just works. When not used, you close it up as the tablet cover. to protect the screen while carrying them around in bags or in your hand. There are raised tips on the keyboard to prevent the screen touch the keyboard when closed. Does it interfere with typing or mousing? No, it doesn't. You will just notice it's there when you move your palm on it. The edge of the keyboard connect to the tablet / screen is made of flexible material, rubbery plastic. How long will it last is unknown. I have not seen any complaints when researching this keyboard. As with all things, if you handle them with care, they tend to return the favor to last a lifetime. Typing on it and using the touchpad works just like a laptop. There function keys, Alt, Shift, Ctrl, the cursor keys are all well positioned. It takes very little time for me to get used to it and start using it effectively. I have a Logitech mouse setup that will flow from my multi-monitor laptop to this tablet. It's very convenient when working on two computers. BUT I found myself using the touchpad instead more than I should have. The arrow keys doesn't require additional key to press to perform its functions. There is also PgUp & PgDn key. It doesn't require any other key. That's great design!! The touchpad is large and respond quickly. Right, left click & multi-finger gesture all works great, too. I'm very pleased with this keyboard. This is a great keyboard that can come with the 7210 but I bought is a s aseparate item. The keyboard was very simple to connect.Everything worked automatically.
