I purchased this to test liquid metal thermal paste without damaging the stock heatsink on my Lenovo Yoga 7i 14ITL5. With regular thermal paste, This one performed worse than the original heatsink. Original heatsink reached 97 degrees with the CPU pulling 42w. With this one, the CPU got to 97 while only drawing 36w. This heatsink has bent, so with the fan sitting in place, the heatsink would lift off the CPu significantly, by about 10mm. This is likely causing poor mounting pressure, which explains the poor performance. I tried bending the heatsink back in shape, but obviously I cannot do a perfect job, and the original bend probably damaged the heat pipes in the first place. Also, there is a part of the heatsink that blows cold air, which suggests the heat pipes are not making good contact with the fin stack either.
If you just need to get your PC running again and don't care about performance, this will work. But if you want the same performance you got with the stock heatsink, avoid this one.
