great for basic indoor light control, or a small basic window A/C for timer control.
I've own several of these TP-Link smart outlet adapters for a few years now to control lamps, and even one for my Christmas Tree, they are very easy to set up in the TP-Link Kasa app, and then add to Nest(Google) Home, just know they are not always instant on, and sometimes depending on your WiFi setup can take up to 30 sec to turn on, but it's super rare. also to note on some older WiFi setups you might need to make a 2.4Ghz only SSID if they won't connect, as these are 2.4 Ghz devices, but on TP-Link Deco mesh routers they negotiate mixed 2.4Ghz/5Ghz just fine. However if you need something with super long range WiFi is not the answer, and you will need to go with a Zigbee bridge solution, but for the average home these are an excellent option for basic light control, or something like a Window A/C that does not have an automatic shutoff(just check your amperage to not blow out the WiFi adapter).
