Recommend the series to all, a version of history which is better than recent efforts.
For a shortened version of Queen Victoria's life, I found the DVD series excellent in bringing forth the main participants in history. Her relationship with Lord Melbourne was excellently portrayed as, indeed, were the other members of her family and court. Congratulations to the casting executive in bringing together an excellent group and to the director & producer who worked admirably with the cast in bringing forth their correct ages into the series.

Great DVD to watch, taking in the splendour of Queen Victoria's era, the royal family are like any other family only they have a role to play in keeping the government and her loyal subjects in order. This has not changed for thousands of years, but for most Queen Victoria was a wife and mother, she was well respected by all.
