Great Japanese anime film for more mature audiences.
A classic animated film by celebrated anime auteur, Hayao Miyazaki. This one isn't for younger kids, as there is violence and adult themes in it, but the depth of the characters and complexity of the relationships and themes can rival that of many live-action films. Beautifully made movie with attention to detail in production values, the film showcases Miyazaki at his best, and his interest in environmental conservation and living in harmony with nature, along with his anti-war stance.
