    Roku stick on a Roku TV

    My Roku TV picture started fading in and out, but only when watching an app, so the problem was with the Roku component of the TV wearing out. I got this new Roku stick, with voice, hoping that I would still only need one remote. And it all works. The old Roku TV remote is collecting dust behind the TV. Now, when I turn the TV on with the new remote, it comes to the old Roku screen. I wait a couple seconds, and speak what app I want. It automatically switches over to the HDMI channel that the stick is plugged into, and takes me where I said to go. I did not have the voice before. It's like I should have bought this before I needed it, just to have that missing feature.

    Doesn’t have internet browsing app

    As a user of Amazon fire stick for many years, it never occurred to me to see whether there was an internet app feature with Roku. Well there isn’t. I was just getting into streaming movies and TV shows via the internet and was looking forward to the Roku’s capabilities since it’s a 2022 model. My research into which was a better streaming apparatus was hands down Roku because it had far more channels than firestick and maybe some other things but not a peep about web accessibility. I’m just a bit, no, a lot disappointed.

    WIFI EXTENDER - ELIMINATED DEAD SPOT

    Now one remote for TV and streaming device.

    The voice function is a big improvement when adding passwords and similar info. Also finding a show or service is fast and easy. A note to readers, I had to delete Netflix and reinstall to have the latest clean install.

    Works great once paired

    The Roku stick is great for streaming free TV, and this is my 2nd Roku for a 2nd TV. However, since I purchased this one used, it did not have instructions provided, and at first the remote appeared inoperable. Once I discovered a reset/pairing button inside the battery compartment, I paired the remote with the stick and now it works great. My first Roku, which was purchased new, did not require the pairing process between stick and remote.

    Roku is the way to go

    Roku is the premier way to stream TV. My older Samsung TV has a horrible platform for apps, so to add new apps, I use a Roku stick. Allows me to download new content and the remote automatically paired with my TV so I only need one remote. The outer packaging came with damage, but everything inside was new and unused.
