This vintage Aladdin lamp is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts. Made in the 1970s in Brazil, it features a beautiful blue fabric shade with a cone shape and a brass and metal base. The lamp is compatible with Aladdin Lamp products and uses a Loxon Mantle type and screw connectors. This original piece from aladdiin is in excellent condition and is an authentic licensed reproduction. It comes with one Cone-shaped bulb with a power of 40W and uses oil/kerosene for lighting technology. This lamp is perfect for adding a touch of vintage charm to any room or collection.

Aladdin lamp lox-on mantle R150 review.
While this mantle does not provide the level of illumination that the original mantles did, it fits perfectly and locks on to the lamp correctly. It is my understanding that the original mantles were coated with a rare earth element that gave more light, but that rare earth element can no longer be used due to some concern. The mantle I bought arrived with no USPS shipping damage, it seems to be quite tough before the coating is burned off. I installed it and lit it outside away from drafts to burn off the coating. I'm sure that after burning off the coating, it is very fragile. Due to the cost, I'm not going to experiment and try to destroy it. Perfect for your Aladdin lamps!
I've purchased these many times and they work wonderfully! If this is your 1st time using an Aladdin mandle MAKE SURE you follow EXACT instructions or you'll destroy the mantle in an instant! There are also plenty of YouTube videos that can show you exactly what to do and what not to do. If you use it properly one mantle can last for many years. Good white light.
I bought this Lamp and it arrived in fast and good condition. I have a B and a 23 Lamp. This mantel had white light with my B Lamp, but the brightness was less than I expected with the B Lamp. Now,.... with my 23 Lamp, it was another story. I had way brighter Light with my 23 Lamp using the same exact mantel. I adjusted both wicks for both lamps to get the highest possible light output without sooting the lamp or mantel up. I also tried to adjust the flame spreader to achieve better results. The 23 Lamp did way better in brightness with this mantel than the B Lamp did with this mantel. Just my personnel experience.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good Buy on a Very Old Item
Not that the mantle is old, it is brand new. I haven't actually used it and really hope I don't ever need to. If you have ever used a lamp mantle, you know they get very brittle after used.
