  • Great tent tent for its intended use

For the type of camping it is intended for it is a great tent. It's way to heavy and bulky if u need to cary it any distance and certainly not for backpacking. Bit if u have the space to carry it, it works great. Set up was fast and easy, although I was a little confused about the straps at first. It was very roomy and comfortable for just about any size adult, or maybe 2 small kids, but not 2 adults. The rain fly did a great job in an all night down pour. Ventilation is flex able and outstanding. Screen kept the no see ums out, just remember to keep it closed up at all times. I added a thin air mattress that brought it from reasonably comfortable to luxurious... and a small battery powered fan with light for which the tent has some small ties at the peak inside to hang from, for sure a great addition. I had plenty of room for a small back pack and misc. Personal items inside and did not feel cramped at all. Breakdown was just as easy. Have not tried to use it as a chair yet but I'm sure it would work fine.

  • Really quick to set up

This little tent has a couple of things really going for it. The material used in the cot and tent are of really good quality, it sets up very fast, and it is very comfortable. I used it in weather the got into the mid 30s at night and couldn't believe how quickly it warmed up just from my body heat. The flip side of this is you get a lot of condensation due to its small size and how warm it stays. That being said, it was easy to air it out in the morning and it dried out fast enough. My only negative would be the plastic strap hardware. While it works fine, I can see it breaking some day and lord only knows if you could replace them. If they were to break you could use a different strap set up easy enough. I just wished they were metal. Overall I love the tent

  • serves it's purpose well with comfort

We haven't had the need to check the included rain cover but the tent cot itself has worked out great. The setup threw me off a little at first because one end of the cot was tightly fitted into the chair position and there are no instructions. I pulled harder than I wanted to get it out but once I did it will move into and out of both the chair position and cot position easily. I was surprised by the weight limit of 350lbs. I've seen similar sized cots with much higher weight limits. A competitor's XL cot without the tent has a 600lb rating. Another competitor's XL cot with out a tent is rated at 450lbs. All the standard tent cots that I've found had lower weight ratings while large tent cots had higher weight ratings. I would expect this XL tent cot woud have weight limits near other XL cots and large cot tents. While I'm not pushing the limit (I'm 230lbs) I can't help but think that having the higher weight rating would relate to build quality. Overall though, I still feel that this cot tent meets my requirements. It isn't difficult to set up and is comfortable to sleep in even without a mat. I've still added a self-inflating mattress but it wasn't really necessary. This tent cot is roomy for one person but would be difficult for two. Airflow worked well for me. Just a slight breeze kept the temperature down. I would recommend this to others if you just want a little more wiggle room for a single sleeper.

  • Good Shelter

Expensive and heavy, pretty well made, could use some beefing up on stress points, but overall pretty good. I have had 3 of these over the years. They are good for a permanent camp spot. You do not want to tote these around. I use them on my pontoon boat to sleep in during the summer, keeps the skeeters from killing me. need to use a camp pad in them.

  • Kamp Rite Oversize Tent Cot With Rain Fly

Very comfortable. A lot of room, but it could be 2-3 inches wider for oversized mattress. I don't like the rain-fly, because it makes entrance lower and harder to get in and out, but everything in camping gear is a compromise.

  • KOT TENT

I really like my kot tent. Great for when I go out by myself. But it came with several small tears in the outer green material. Like about 4-5 tears about an inch long each. I have used it one time now and love it.

  • Outstanding piece of camping equipment

Had this set up and ready to sleep before my buddy had his tent out of the box. Very well made. So much room. I slept like a baby. The pole hooks seem a little long so I ran my poles through the loops the hooks were attached to and that tightened up the tent. I was camping on the bay with a lot of wind and that stopped most of the flapping, otherwise it wouldn't be necessary. The padding built into the cot isn't much so I put a sleeping bag down and was very comfortable. (don't know if it needed it or not) I would buy again and recommend it.

  • Kamp-Rite Tent Cot, Great Item

I am 6' 1" tall at 210 pounds and an avis outdoors man. I would have never thought I would even consider this "Tent Cot" but now that I am 65 my Daughter said that I didn't need to be setting up a tent every time I went out, which was often. So I purchased this Tentcot and have used it three times and absolutely LOVE it! Very strong, easy to set up, and very comfortable. This old fat, avid camper highly recomends this Kamp-Rite Tent Cot.

  • yeap this is a nice tent

A good intuitive product to assemble in any of its forms (chair lounger, bed) is well built in a world that everything is done in Asia, it is good news that the quality is imposed on the price of the products, this is a good Product at a good price, I recommend it, before buying it, inform me of it and the costs of bringing it to europe, even so I can bring it for its quality
