Terribly useful
I would have given five stars, but, to be honest I haven't actually tried these discs yet. But I expect they'll be as good as the ones I've been using and I can tell you that this type of disc is the best way I've found for a home project builder like myself to cut steel. The cuts have to be straight of course and probably 3/4" or so is max depth, but it is far better than a hacksaw, cheaper than buying a power hacksaw, you use it on your 4-1/2"portable disc grinder, which you'll need anyway and cutting by torch, which I had already, is a lot cruder and rougher and not really any quicker, at least for me, some may have more skill with the acetylene. But if you don't need any other type of cutter, why spend for oxy-acelylene equipment? The discs I have been using give a pretty good life per disc and are quite affordable at these prices. I've cut pipe, plate, strap and rods with this. With two of them I cut twelve feet of radial and longitudinal cuts in 3/8"wall 16" pipe including layout work in two hours the very first time I used them. Wear safety gear and be careful though, they could if jammed or overly stressed fly apart.
