Great Little Brother
This printer is easy to set up, but with one problem. We have two iMacs, and the first printer install went fast and easy. I never could get an independent print queue set up on the second iMac, but had to enable the SHARE feature on the first iMac. This allows both iMac to have access to the Borther printer, but the primary Mac has to be ON or the 2nd iMac has no access. I still gave the printer 5 stars, because this seems to be a software problem, not a printer problem. My old Lexmark allowed two independent queues on the two iMacs. I have found the graphics printing to be quite good, although another review had mentioned that printing graphics on the Brother was lacking. Not my experience. I will admit that the print definition is not as good as my previous laser printers. Double-sided printing was smoother than on my previous (expensive) Lexmark, which went through a lot of mechanical monkey motion with lots of clacking to get the 2nd side printed. The Brother (inexpensive) just reverses a stepper motor and does so quietly. This bodes well for a long life. The scanner feature is easy to use, and the scans are excellent. I haven't done enough printing yet to exhaust the small toner cartridge that came with it, but replacement toner cartridges are relatively inexpensive and easy to change out. I also liked the fact that a whole ream of paper can fit into the paper tray, and there are no long trays hanging out ... thereby requiring a large table for the printer. All in all, the Brother is an exceptional value and a great printer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Won't stay connected to Wi-Fi
I didn't realize that this was a black and white only printer, which is fine. The VERY frustrating thing is that I purchased it with the hopes of being able to print from the second floor of my home via Wi-Fi, unfortunately it will not stay connected or allow me to print to it unless I am literally in the same room...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Setup was quite easy. I set this up completely via the WiFi. It was a bit confusing, it gave me the impression the setup didn't succeed, but when I went and tested it my PC connected to the printer and printed successfully. I've had this printer two weeks now. I have not had any problems with the printer disconnecting from the WiFi, it has responded every time I have accessed it. I am so happy to be through with inkjet cartridges and waiting on the time it takes to print a page on inkjet printers. I submit a print job and the printed document is waiting for me when I get to the printer. Print quality is better than I expected. An Ideal Home Multi-Function Unit!
