Wonderful time saving machine for making bias tape. It's quick and easy! No need to bring out the big iron anymore and worry about burning fingers while making binding tape because this machine does it for you! Just choose your material, cut it to size, pull it through the tip and across the hot iron press plate, put the top back on and press the start button, the machine does the rest. Horrible quality.
Upon unboxing the product I first noticed that the electrical plug was not a plug fr a standard US outlet. Rather the plug was one designed for China. I worked to find an adapter. Upon doing so and attempting to use the product, it would not function properly. The iron headed up and the "go" light came on. But when "run" was pushed nothing happened and the machine turned off and had to be repeatedly reset. I never could get the "run" function to work.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This machine is quick to get your bias tape ironed to the whichever size you need. This is the 3 machine I have owned in 10+ years and highly recommend purchasing it. This last time I have done research to purchase it and found that the company doesn't seem to be manufacturing it. Can’t make my bonding pouches without it.
My daughter gave me one of these Simplicity bias tape makers four years ago so I could make the shoulder straps for my sugar glider bonding pouches. I have made hundreds of the straps on the one she bought me until the motor went out on it this week. Sadly Simplicity has stopped making them, and I don’t know where I will get my next one when this new one goes out that I just won the bid on from EBay.

Batis tape maker
It works, however I thought once you turned Irvin you could walk away while it pressed the basic tape. Oh no you have to pull it along. So it is time consuming. If you bought 1 yard of fabric you can yield appox 15 Yards of bias tape. Get exactly what you want for your custom projects. On the flip side It would cost you appox $10 at Walmart to buy 5 packages of 3 yd baud tape . Not custom but slot quicker and no down time cutting your strips then sewing them pressing them then walking it thru the machine . Hope this helpsVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

All parts including instructions for use were in the box. The machine itself was a little dirty, such as the iron panel no big deal. In use, I have to lightly pull the end to progress the tape, bottom roller does not continually rotate, it tries but stops and makes a clancky noise.
