About this product

Product Information

This made-for-Showtime series introduces a misanthropic female college dropout, Georgia "George" Lass (Ellen Muth), whose already mundane life becomes even more annoying when she dies. Instead of putting her out of her misery, Rube (Mandy Patinkin) forces George to perform the duties of a grim reaper while maintaining an otherwise ordinary existence. Unfortunately, this means working at the same temp agency that employed her before her accident. Created by Bryan Miller, DEAD LIKE ME features standout supporting turns from Patinkin, Callum Blue, Jasmine Guy, and Rebecca Gayheart. This series sadly only ran for two seasons. this DVD set allows me the opportunity to see these two great seasons whenever I want!
This set includes all of the episodes of the show from its two seasons plus additional film of cut out material. It is everything a lover of this show could ever want other than to have had the show run for more seasons. This for me is an excellent Compilation.

BETTER than the TV version!
Each episode, even though I had seen a few on TV, was FAR better than the TV version. There were some short added scenes, and the language was not edited, or deleted! (NOT appropriate for younger or more sensitive viewers) The dialogue was much more accurate to how one would think that "true" Grim Reapers would speak... The whole series is engaging, and funny as hell! As Rube would say, "you gotta take a step back and see the funny in ererything"!

The focused character "Gerogie" does both act and narrate the episodes which gives it a unique perspective.
