But with a borderline insane principal (Amy Sedaris) yapping at him from one side and a cheating competitor (David Alan Grier) trying to trip him from the other, it isn’t going to be easy. Co-starring Nathan Kress from Nickelodeon’s hit series ICARLY, GYM TEACHER: THE MOVIE at times recalls a sort of cleaned-up version of the inspired absurdism seen in the cult show STRANGERS WITH CANDY, another creation (not for the young ones) that involved Sedaris and director Paul Dinello.
