Co-created by NYPD BLUE mastermind Steven Bochco, the courtroom drama RAISING THE BAR examines the emotional, cutthroat politics that course through every fiber of the legal profession. Mark-Paul Gosselaar (NYPD BLUE) stars as Jerry Kellerman, a hopeful public defender committed to helping those who need it the most. Unfortunately, his do-good instincts cause him to clash violently with the wily prosecutor Michelle Ernhardt (Melissa Sagemiller, SLEEPER CELL). The two young lawyers regularly go to war before Trudy Kessler (Jane Kaczmarek, MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE), a domineering, ambitious judge with hopes of becoming a DA.
