Great value for the price. Works Great, as it one of the fastest CPU my motherboard can support. The thermal paste was too thin, so I replace it with my own thermal paste. When you replace the cpu, make sure the cooler make the full contact with the cpu. This was the fastest option for my board.
Easily out-performs the Intel Celeron 440 that it replaced. I know this is outdated technology, but I enjoy taking such tech to the limits. For people that use computers for very basic tasks, I build older units that still do the basic things. Old Computer CPU Upgrade
I had prepared ahead of time and update the BIOS so I shouldn't run into problems, however, didn't realize that the RAM would also need to be changed. After changing CPU I kept getting 4 tone post beep, fortunately, I had some old memory that works with the chip and it works great. Wanted a Kali penetration testing system without putting too much into it, and that is what I have. An older computer that a friend gave me, the memory I had from an old project and $7 for a better CPU. This CPU arrived earlier than the estimated date of delivery, was sealed well and works perfectly I feel this was a great buy.
