    Paid a little more for an OEM part. Original lasted 7+ years before I lost speed 1 on my blower fan. Easy swap out. Just hope this one lasts at least another 7 years. My only complaint is that while cheap, these basic resistors probably cost them a few bucks to make, so the mark up is huge.

    Motorcraft OEM HVAC Blower Motor Resistor YH-1715 3F2Z-18591-AA

    Like so many, I lost the ability to adjust the blower fan on my 2011 Ford Escape after 6 years. Only the #4 (high) setting would work. The resistor card had failed. It's an easy fix, total time about 20 minutes. There're many instructional videos on how to replace it on YouTube. An 8mm socket wrench is needed.

    I lost heat on settings 2 & 3, and after an internet search, it had to be the blower motor resistor - and it was. Easy enough to replace on my 2010 Mercury Mariner. Pretty straightforward - just watch a video of it on YouTube (Ford Escape is the same thing).
