Critical to have
Jeep YJ Wranglers... When stock, they have a bit of a choppy ride due to the short wheelbase. When running a lift kit and larger tires, this condition gets worse. The 925 shaft kills two birds with one stone: - first, it isolates the tub of the jeep from the shock loads of the suspension/frame which is transferred to the body through a seized up steering shaft (one that doesn't telescope in and out any more). This is felt as a direct jolt in the steering wheel. - second, due to this ones vibration dampening coupling, it also takes some of the harshness out of the tire lug vibrations The universals they use in this shaft also work smooth as silk... smooth steering = a very good thing. Shaft is of excellent quality - truly first rate stuff - is relatively easy to install, and at this bargain price (while being much more costly than cheaper units from other manufacturers) is worth every penny. I've been working on and repairing vehicles of all kinds for well over 30 years now, and I've never seen a single part make such a dramatic improvement on ride quality before. Passengers even immediately notice the difference! When replacing the steering shaft, also grab the steering shaft bearing kit (widely available on ebay for around $20) and replace that as well as they will most assuredly be roached... that part takes only a minute or two extra and will ensure that you get the full benefit of your brand new steering shaft!
