Xbox 360 Grand Theft Auto 5 Platinum Replacement
I bought this as a replacement for an original that was broke by my grandson. Finding a replacement was difficult because most other postings for the game show the right picture and write up for the platinum edition but what you get is the standard edition game. When I got this one in the mail and saw that the right upper Platinum logo was missing I thought that again I had received the standard edition. Turning it over I noticed that the disc was marked ‘Made in Germany’. According to Play asia most of the Grand Theft Auto Games versions are region free unless it was made in Japan. Loading the game I was able to get to a certain point and then was asked for a log in code. Looking on you tube I was able to find a solution to fix this problem and now the game works perfectly. Aside from this little problem, this is the platinum edition for Europe but will work in the U.S.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great fun for my son and I.
We often pass controller back and forth during each segment. My wife, who doesn't play the game commented on how similar one of the characters is to an actor in The Walking Dead series. We found out that it is the same person, just a different name in the game. Lots of fun, destruction, good music and commentary. Helps to relieve the stress of everyday life. You can do things in the game, that wouldn't be acceptable in real life. If you haven't played it yet, get it. I was getting so sick of Alien and futuristic games. This is the one an only game my boys wanted. Bought an older xboxc360 from ebay to use as player. Package includes 2 disks. 1 install disk, 1 play disk. Other then initial loading time on older machine, which only has 20gb hard drive. The game proforms smoothly. Graphis are great. The disk is "R" rated. Has a lot of nasty laguage during playback. Best GTA game. Ever!
From the beginning, the story draws you in immediately. No more watching a cut scene story, now you are part of it. Graphics are absolutely stunning. So realistic, it actually looks almost real and lifelike. The characters in the game are no longer just linear, there is a whole world going on around you and you are one person in this whole fantastic universe of GTA that Rockstar has created. I am so pleased with this game for the XBox 360 console. The developers have gone above and beyond my wildest expectations for this game. They have also done away with the lag on loading screens and the jerkiness of game play that was in past GTA games. I am quite impressed. Absolutely amazing what they have done on a platform with ageing hardware and software. I am a bit sad they removed some things like Vigilante, because I am intrigued what that would have been like in this version. However, by removing many of the lengthy side missions, GTA has now become what it was always meant to be. Love the weapon wheel and how you can keep ALL your weapons and no longer have to pick and choose what to swap out. Miss the Pay-N-Spray, and no more police bribes. They have saved me so many times. However, the custom shops more than make up for that. All the vehicles have gotten a makeover as well. Very nice. Also, they have brought garages back discontinued in GTA iv. So many garages, so many more spaces. Thank you for that, guys. Can never have enough personal vehicles. BTW, the cops are no longer wussies, so watch out!!! And the add-on packs are a great bonus. Would like to see San Fiero and Las Venturas added on at some point, kind of like how 'The Ballad of Gay Tony" was an add-on to GTA iv. Or add Vice City as an expansion pack, or as GTA vi. Another hit in the GTA series!
GTA games always seem to be way ahead of the power curve... I've never disliked any of them. Some are better than other, yes, but none of them are so bad you don't want to finish them. Excellent graphics, voice acting, game play, content, you name it... Top notch game through and through. I give it 95% out of 100% and 5 out of 5 stars. A worthwhile experience
Grand Theft Auto V is a worthwhile experience for any fans of previous GTA games, shooters or action games in general. They've really crafted a vibrant world in the visually stunning city of Los Santos. Driving through the city is a joy, and combat has never been tighter. It really is a high point for the series. If that weren't enough, the narrative is compelling, following three well-developed characters who you can switch between almost whenever you like. I thought that having three protagonists would have been unwieldy, but they managed to weave their stories together quite nicely. And as per usual for Rockstar, the writing is top-notch. It's a very clever satire of American life, played out by a cast of severely dysfunctional people. In addition to the story missions, there are plenty of activities to engage in at one's leisure, including, but not limited to: skydiving, competing in a triathlon, hunting, tennis, golf, and target practice at the gun range. A lot of care and effort went into this diversions as they handle well and are satisfying to play. All this said, and I've only talked about the single player portion of the game. I won't discuss the multiplayer as I haven't spent enough time on it to form an opinion, but it is more content in an already content-rich game. In short, if you're at all a fan of video games, you owe it to yourself to play Grand Theft Auto V.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
