Early on in the process, Eddie handed over his Holy Grail Cry Baby Wah-a standard Cry Baby customized in the early Nineties with a more vocal-like, High Q inductor and a wider frequency sweep.

The Dunlop Eddie Van Halen Signature Wah Guitar Effect Pedal is modeled after the master's own Holy Grail custom Cry Baby wah. Brought to you by Dunlop, an industry leader in the manufacture of stellar guitar effects and the creator of accessories for artists such as Zakk Wylde, this custom designed potentiometer will add vocal-like sounds to your awesome solos and riffs. This effects pedal screams with the tones that helped to make Eddie the preeminent guitarist of his generation, and now, you can model his signature vibe when you add one of these to your personal collection of gear. A wah inductor lends an edge to your music that is pure rock and roll, and the Jim Dunlop EVH95 Eddie Van Halen wah-wah pedal offers all the features you need to add extra polish to your jams. Instead of just one vocal, you have a whole chorus via the EVH wah, allowing you to mount your grooves on a wall of sound. This Eddie Van Halen wah upgrades your notes with a high Q inductor and a wide frequency sweep. One cool effect beloved by guitarists involves trailing off repeats after the pedal is turned off, and the EVH crybaby makes this unique sonic accent easy and simple to realize. With this EVH flanger, you always know the status of the effect thanks to the unit's blue bypass LEDs.Power for the pedal is supplied by a Dunlop ECB003 AC adapter or a single 9V battery. This is a compact piece of gear that travels easily with your assortment of accessories. It is suitable for stage work and live performances, but can also be used with your existing home recording setup to add color to your original compositions. Eddie worked hand-in-hand with the team at Dunlop during the design phase and even allowed the designers access to his own Holy Grail wah so that they could replicate its precision and trademark tone. The end result is a signature piece of gear that Van Halen himself would use. Many other famous rock guitarists, such as Sammy Boller, have added one of these accessories to their own arsenal for Crybaby perfection.What the team at Dunlop discovered when designing the EVH series of pedals is that Eddie's own pedal didn't just benefit from the High Q and wider sweep. Van Halen had also notched out a unique curve in the resistive element of the pot. That same modification is found in the EVH signature guitar pedal described here. This enhancement broadens the mid-range of the wah and also extends the sweep on the low end, giving you the power to recreate those moaning bass lines that are present in many of Eddie's solos. From bass to treble and across the entire register, the response of this pedal is fantastic. The company wanted to expand upon the features of the EVH MXR series and succeeded in grand fashion with these custom accessories.The signature unit looks sharp with a paint job that is reminiscent of Eddie's black and yellow striped guitar that was used on Van Halen II. It is designed to be used with standard electric guitars and amps.
