It's a good product, and it's a great option for a discontinued system.
My original dc cable messed up and I found this one. I'm glad it was available. Of course it would never be as good as the original but I am glad the product is available.

Terrible picture and sound for me...
Not sure if I got a bad set or what, but the picture and sound it produced were awful. The connection to the dreamcast seems loose to say the least. The slightest little movement of the console or the cable affected both sound and picture. I use s video for several other consoles and have had a great experience with those (different brand s video cables).

The image quality looks great on my Crt tv. A step up from composite. It is "heavy duty" but feels cheap at the same time. Tip: don't connect the yellow connector, only connect the s-video, red,and white connectors. If you connect the yellow one image quality will be poor.

i see the light
my dreamcast, she's playable again ! cord is of good quality my last connector broke off inside of the av slot on the back. after moving (with the new cord) from this room to that in my house to my moms and friends i feel no change in the cords connectivity. defintely a quality build !

Dreamcast S video cable.
I mainly got this to see if it would help Rush 2049 look better. I tested it on my 720p Sony Bravia. By better I mean brighter. The game is too dark in my opinion. While it did sharpen the picture over the standard av cable. It didn’t really do what I was hoping it would. For a 6$ cable it’s worth it though. It’s cheap. It does work and does look good.

It broke when I used it
When I used it for my dreamycasta the visuals shows for about 10 seconds the first time I tried it. Then 5 the second time. Then the last time it wouldn't show anything. My casta works fine with regular avs and before my old svideo broke it worked wonders with it but these won't work anymore and I feel betrayed.

Fantastic replacement cord.
I was a bit worried when I pulled my Dreamcast out of storage and after cleaning it, found that the sound wouldn’t come out of my tv. Last resort I bought this cord, not sure if it would fix it or even work (with that one negative review) but the cord is absolutely the best. It’s super heavy duty and the plugs and wires feel high quality. Fixed the sound problem and looks better picture wise as well! Good buy.
