    Good performer generally

I replaced my old Humax which had died with a second hand purchase off eBay. The unit performs all functions except for intermittent skipping on playback which my old unit also had. I suggest that most hard drive recorders of this vintage will have similar issues but at £46 represents good value for money as the playback issue is not constant.

  • Top Quality and Reliability

This is definitely the best quality hard drive freeview PVR we have had, and we have had a few! It suffers none of the foibles of other makes we have owned, very slow to start up, not recording when programmed to etc etc. My only slightly negative comment is that it is not as instinctive to use as others, I have had to get out the instructions several time exasperated that I cant get it to do something simple. But as soon as you are familiar with the commands its not difficult. Humax generally seem to be more expensive when new but now I've got one I see why.

  • Humax 9300t PVR

The Humax 9300t is far more stable and reliable than the earlier 9200. Much less likely to crash and require a reboot. Although this PVR was bought second hand it has proved to be an excellent purchase.

  • very easy to work with,i like it.

very good. i gave 4 stars and not 5 as some reason it not get 5 select. i have re-tuned a few times but no joy. though i can see it via the tv and not the box. apart from that it is fine. a pity there was no instruction book.

  • The one machine that isn't working worth beans

This is the second of these machines that I've purchased, and this one is rubbish. It doesn't record presets, it just flatly refuses to record anything that you preset it for at all. The other one I bought off of ebay is just as quirky, if you try to watch something while it's still recording the machine will shut itself off and you won't get a big chunk of the show. I have another Humax that's brilliant, but doesn't hold much data. Having seen how bad these later models are, I wish I'd stuck to them. If I'd know you can't preset on this one, I'd have saved myself the money.

  • Good TV Recorder

Easy to use. Easy to record programs and playback. It also enables you to pause live TV and resume when "back in the room" Also easy to set up in terms of re tuning to another location. Masses of storage space as well

  • Humax make one of the best PVR's that you can buy, these will last you for years with continue use

Humax make one of the best PVR machines, this on I've bought is a replacement of my old one which I've used for nearly 10 years. This one works great, if it last as long as my old one I'll be very pleased, my next one would be the Humax 500 or the new aura.

  • Good on balance

Positives: Good interface, simple to use. Can record 2 programs at once. HDMI out is good for age. Quiet HDD operation. Negatives : Guide only populates when unit is turned on and can take quite a while. Fan turns on when unit turns on for updates in the night - which of course it doesn't need to do.

  • Good and simple to use.

My previous PVR was a talktalk oneview so I had some adjustment to make. That programmes to be recorded are 'Reserved' caused some confusion. No internet access for catch up was a disappointment. But on the other hand, the picture is good and, so far, it seems reliable.
