Works great for 40" Sharp LC-40LB480U
40" is at the upper range this stand is rated for. But the stand handles it with ease. My only issue with this stand is anything over VESA 100 x 100 bolt pattern requires those 4 little arms to be installed on the mounting plate. Maybe it's just me, but I found it time consuming to try to fit them up square and plumb, one at a time, by trial and error. There is still wiggle in them, and maybe that's by design, to allow the 3 degree left or right rotation. I'd buy a 200 x 200 adapter plate and just bolt it on there instead, if I had it to do over and time to wait. But I've only assembled one of these stands, and perhaps my problem is just my own inexperience. It's a pain getting that bracket assembled just right, but it is adequate once it's finally adjusted and all the arms are tightened up. I am using this stand for a 40" TV in a bedroom. I could not use a wall mount in that room due to too many closets, doors, and windows chop up the walls and I have no expanse of wall large enough to mount a 40" TV. I needed a movable floor stand so that I could easily slide the TV out of the way to occasionally get into a closet behind it. This stand slides easily on smooth floor or low pile rug with almost no pad under it.. I chose the model without castors because I wanted stability and I don't need portability. If you have thick carpet and thick pad, I beleive the castor model would work better. This stand is very stable with my 40" TV mounted on it. Stand is minimalist and doesn't call attention to itself. I have the height set rather low because I don't want to look up at a TV. Assembly was very straightforward. Instructions are all pictures. The fasteners are in bags with no labels on them whatsoever. But it's easy to follow along and /or choose the correct hardware if you stop and study each picture a bit. The only fussy detail is those 4 arms on the mounting plate. I was able to mount the 40" TV by myself by lying it face down on the carpeted floor with the TV box under it, and then lying the completed TV stand down and sliding the mounting bracket into position on the back of the TV. I bolted it on, then carefully flipped the TV and stand upright. I was working in a tight space but this went very smoothly. (Just thought I'd mention that, because the directions show 2 people required to hang the TV on the upright TV stand. My method works for someone working alone. Great for my needs
Didn't want to mess with hanging my 32" on the office wall so tried this one. very cool, works great. I believe it will hold a 42" (feels like it would) and my 32 is very sturdy. The max height from the ground will hold the TV at eye level (while you are sitting) keep that in mind, its not intended to be used while standing, in other words, it won't hold your TV at 6ft high... the pole is not that long (and I guess it will affect the stability if it went that high), its perfect for my office.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Pretty solid stand. Uses heavy-gauge steel for all the parts. It isn’t top heavy with the TV attached, which I feared, but I only have a 24 incher on it. Not at all disappointed. I don’t know why, but I assumed it came with casters—it doesn’t. I must’ve skipped all there was to read.
