I balanced the pros and cons of buying a robot vacuum cleaner for many months. After buying a very good quality Shark vacuum cleaner, I started trusting the brand. And the Shark Ion Robot was released at a good price, with all the features of the big brands' models. indeed: it's activating on schedule, cleans up well, after finishing, gets back to the charging station. A Robot you will come to love.
We were skeptical at first as to how powerful this machine would perform. We have an upright Shark, and it is powerful. But, we decided to give the Ion a try. It powers up in its 'dock' and when the three ready lights come on, it's time to clean! It comes with a magnetic strip that acts like an electronic fence to keep the Ion out of mischief. We are fascinated to watch it clean, clean, and clean! We set our amazon Alexa for a given time, say 20 minutes, to let us know the Ion is finished. There are apps you can load onto your iPhone or Android phone to communicate with Ion. You can program your Alexa to tell the Ion to go to work! Unfortunately for us, we do not have that capability on our limited cell phones. But, maybe your phone could do it! This robovac really sucks!
We have a long-haired dog and I was looking for a vac that could handle that (plus we have an indoor cat). I recently bought a Shark hand vac and really like it so I figured why not try this? It has a larger cup than most others and is rated well so I figured this was the one. So far, pretty good - "Bruce", as we named him, ends up with more than I have on my head! Th self-cleaning brush seems to be living up to its claim for the most part, though I did have to do a little manual peeling the other day. The one thing I'm disappointed in is the dwell time on the battery. As soon as Bruce reports to work he loses a power bar. I thought his work ethic would be better but he goes home sooner than I expected. He does a good job while he's out and about, he just needs to improve his time on-task. There is one other thing that is frustrating: Removing the cup. I pinch where it says to and nothing happens. I have to fight with it until somehow it releases. I wish this were easier or that the pinch points were flexible.

It really picks up well, it's quiet and kinda fun to watch. The only thing I was missing was the BotBoundry strips that were supposed to be included but were not. Bought some online from Amazon. Great for the money
it is really nice, not perfect integration with Google home, but they talk through Shark interface. The app is easy, not sure if you can do multiple cleaning per one day, Occasional interference to rescue it, Random cleaning, so you better not watch it, Leave the room and let it do it'd thing. It does clean well, sensors need to be cleaned often, otherwise, it won't run, so just clean the sensors when you empty the bin. No complain I am happy. it did meet my expectation, did not exceed my expectation. Best One Yet!
This is a great machine! Minutes to set up, goes over all my floor surfaces (medium and high nap rugs, hardwood, and slate), goes under most of my furniture, good at picking up long cat hair as well as dirt, has a good size bin that's easy to empty, and returns to home. The main brush is a breeze to clean as are the two side brushes. It's only gotten stuck once - tried too hard to go between a wall and exercise bike, and let me know instead of wearing out its charge. Added benefit is it entertains the car who follows it around. Initial impressions. Well made and very clever!
Early days but really easy to use and very tolerant of our complex and cluttered floor. Only thing to watch/remove are cables and fringed rug, just like a manual vacuum cleaner. App is good too. Great Invention!
Love this little guy! Works great. He runs around all over the house. I'm amazed at how much he picks up. Especially love it for my white tile in the kitchen/dining room. My little Shih Tzu brings in a lot of grass. If you use the magnetic strips that come included, they work great. Around he turns if you have one down and don't want him to go out of the room you want cleaned at the moment. I haven't found anything yet that is a negative.
