It's a great game
I had heard about the game Ticket to Ride before. It's of course a very popular game, so it didn't come as a huge surprise that it was amazingly fun! We have played it a lot since it arrived around a month ago, and I can't really think of any complaints. The game is simply awesome. Very easy to learn, too. I played it with my grandma and she managed to win against some players that had played before. That aside, I am very happy with the production quality of the set itself. The game comes with a nice, colored rulebook, which explains everything very well. The board itself is solid. There are 5 bags, which contain the individual train pieces and a 6th bag with some extra pieces, in case something goes missing. I would highly recommend this game to anyone. One small note: Being European I realized after the game arrived that the board itself takes place in North America. Not a huge deal or anything, but if I could make the purchase again, I would probably have chosen the European board. Just something to keep in mind. Great way to refresh a much loved game
We've been playing Ticket to Ride as a family for years and thought it would be fun to try a new map (we knew all the journey cards in the Europe version so it was becoming a bit easy!). We've only tried the UK map so far and it's great, more challenging than the original so a great step up as our children are know young adults. Excellent fun! I bought this having played it at a friend’s house. The board and pieces are of good quality. It is the full original board of the game with the US and Canada cities. Another great addition to our collection
Whilst this is the original with the mini train & destination cards (you can tell as it as a red emblem on the box under the right of the title) it is not an issue. We have since purchased the expansion pack with full sized cards. As with all the others we have purchased through various outlets, it is entertaining, our 12 year old loves this and all the others (this is our 14th version including the expansion packs). So fun! All my kids (ages 10–17) greatly enjoy it, and so do we as parents! A great board game for all the family.
I bought this board game for my boyfriend, for Christmas. It's possibly his (and my!) favourite present. It took us about 2 games to figure out what we were doing, but by the third try, we have not stopped playing it! I look forward to trying the expansion and different versions.
