    Good Product but could be better

    Wireless range is very limited. Can not connect an external antenna to the router. Had a Rosewill RX-N4PS 802.11 N 2.0 wireless router for the past 6 years or so and it worked fine. I used another identical Rosewill unit as a repeater and I could get good signal some 120 feet away in my large backyard. I bought this Arris unit hoping to get better and reliable wireless signal. Within the house the signal is okay, no worse than my old Rosewill. Tried to use one of my old Rosewill router as a repeater. It works for a few minutes and then it disconnects. Tried several times but ended up with the same issue. It may not be the fault of the new (Arris) router. You can not connect an external antenna to this Arris router. The antenna is built in and is contained inside the box. That is could be part of the reason for the limited wireless range. May be they want you to buy another unit and use it as a range extender. As for the seller, the product was well packaged and arrived on time.

    Very basic product-too basic for simple household

    Bought this product to use with Xfinity cable and tv. Product was difficult to set up - and could not add my older Dell laser printer because it did not have a wps button. Signal in house was also weak. Returned it because it did not meet my minimum needs. It may work for someone in a studio apartment with no accessories like a wireless printer.

    Great modem

    I bought this modem because my previous one couldn't handle multiple devices. The biggest downside I have noticed is that even though it can handle all of my devices, it does tend to drop the viewing quality of streaming movies and shows. It doesn't buffer, only drops to a lower resolution. Overall I am pleased.

    Some Bugs but Works

    Had some problems Had call trouble shooting desk. Password was preset. Doesn't always find devices -ie IPhones., desktop could accept cable connection(?). Must use WIFI connection. Have not noticed improvement over previous model that this replaced.
