    5.0 fluance home theater

I previously purchased a different brand receiver to support my home theater system. When I turned it on, the fan was so loud that it interfered with the movie/music. The display lights were also extremely bright. I returned it. Although this one is more expensive, I ordered it after reading some reviews and am pleased to say that it is worth every penny. Runs so quietly you can’t even tell it’s on. Easily powers my speakers and is a must have for a home theater system.

    Just Fine

Good fast delivery. It was open box and had some light scratches on the sides, like it had been wedged between other equipment, so I wasn't sure how much it had been used. But as it got warm, it had that new electronics burn-off smell. So I think was just about new. It sounds good. Easy to use. The binding posts are a bit close together. So far I'm only using it with two med fronts and a nice center (all Klipsch PR). Will add on later. I was using a S.M.S.L digital amp and this is a definite improvement. No complaints. It's acceptable for my purpose.

  • Excellent features and performance for a 5.1 setup

Upgraded Living Room receiver from a Sony 5.1 so that I could have more control over individual speaker settings. This is a perfect product for that. I also have a Yamaha V685 7.1 in a dedicated Theater Room so I new exactly what I would be gaining by by using the V385 in my Living Room 5.1 setup. Excellent Seller!

  • I still like AV receiver than Sound Bar.

Yamaha kicks 🦵 and brings the sound quality. Bluetooth with HDMI connectivity inputs and output good hone AV receiver for the price. It can push 5.1 speakers tower floor standing powered subwoofer Yamaha still the king 🤴 of Japanese amplifiers.

  • Great A/V Receiver!!!

Great receiver for the money! Sound quality is very good and has everything a home theatre would need in my opinion. Music sounds great through it as well set on the Straight Mode Stereo. I have Polk T50 towers, Polk T30 center, KLH 970A rears, Klipsch RSW120 sub hooked up to it and it sounds great. Powers them well for home use. Once you hit the half way up volume it starts to pump out the volume pretty decently. Its not a real high wattage receiver and I knew this. But it is plenty high enough for home use and the sound quality even at high volume levels stay sounding very clear. I am using the hdmi inputs and output for my tv, blu ray, ps4, satellite box. Everything interconnects perfect. Just take your time and set it up right. Love this receiver!! As good as it gets fir the money and well worth it!! Buy it!!

  • Yamaha receiver

Bought for $250 brand new and am very satisfied with both quality and price. With regards to ease of use, none of these quality surround sound receivers nowadays are particularly simple to set up.

  • Really a great receiver

This is my second Yamaha receiver. The first one is still a great receiver, but this one will pass 4k signals. It works just like the older receiver, so I've had no issues with learning how to navigate on it. Plenty of power since it;s in a fairly small room, but it does sound great through my good old Advents. Very pleased.

  • So far so good!

For the price it is a pretty good deal. Sound quality is okay, its was a little bit of a pain to get my TV, BlueRay and game console to 'talk' to this unit. But was able to resolve all issues by downloading and reading the manual (techies call it the 'RTFM' answer to most users problems.) So far so good. Hope it works this great 2-3 years from now.

  • A good deal for the price

All channels are working well, the volume output is decent, however I can't decide if it is adequite for my needs until I purchase a higher quality speaker system. But overall it is a good deal for the price.
